MR-Safe Fibre Optic Response Pads

The complete solution for subject response in the MR environment. Widely used for 9 years in 21 countries, it combines response pad choice with universal software compatibility. Best of all there is no metal and nothing electronic in the MR room, so you never need to worry that the system will add noise to your images, or raise safety concerns.

  • Flexible: A wide variety of basic handheld devices with customised versions available.
  • Robust and Reliable: Fiber optic bundle connects handheld device to the optoelectronic interface unit.
  • Compatible: Interface unit takes optical signal and adapts it for use with all types of software programs.
  • Completely safe with no artefacts: Components within the MR room are completely metal free.

Overview

The fORP response kit offers complete flexibility. You can choose from wide range of response devices; button boxes, joysticks, tracking balls, sliders, dials and wheels that all connect to the same interface. If you can't find the type of device you are looking for, then have a custom made device for your particular experimental requirement.

The system is robust and dependable, based on over 10 years of development and is universally compatible with software. The system is designed to be completely safe to be used in the MR environment with absolutely no metal or electronics in the scanner room.

Fiber Optic Response Devices

Seven styles of handheld fMRI response devices give unprecedented flexibility for subject responses. Never anything magnetic or metallic

  • Freedom of choice for differing study needs
  • One interface supports all handheld units
  • Pointing devices: Joystick Trackball
  • Custom devices

Fiber Optic Bundle

A robust bundle of optical fiber connects the response device to the optoelectronic interface unit.

  • Removeable
  • No wires or metal
  • Can't conduct noise into the room
  • Passes through pen panel without
    filtered connector
  • Two 55 ft. bundles can be combined for 110 ft.
