The newly named Asia Pacific Conference on Vision will be held in Brisbane, Australia on the 18th-21st July.
The Asia Pacific Conference on Vision (APCV) was formerly known as the Asian Conference on Vision.
Following the 2006 meeting, held in Matsue Japan, the organizing commitee decided on a name change to better reflect the growing community of researchers attending the conference.
The conference aims to facilitate debate concerning vision research throughout the Asia-Pacific by bringing together scientists from the broad range of disciplines contributing to modern vision science, including visual psychophysics, neuroscience, computational vision and cognitive psychology.
Lectures and Symposia come from Professors Mandyam Srinivasan, Shinsuke Shimojo and Hidehiko Komatsu, Atsushi Iriki, Ken Nakayama, Gill Rhodes, Jason Mattingley, Mike Dixon, Roger Remmington and Mel Goodale. Prof

|
Cambridge Research Systems are proud to be supporting the 31st edition of the European Conference on Visual Perception held from the 24th until the 28th of August 2008 in Utrecht.
Scientifically, ECVP deals with Vision Science, an interdisciplinary domain formed by neuroscientists, biologists, experimental psychologists, physicists, medical doctors and engineers studying the neural and cognitive mechanisms of vision, as well as their connections with the other sensory modalities. The knowledge arising from vision science is traditionally applied to the domains of human factors, artificial vision, neurology and neuropsychology and the visual arts.
The annual Perception Lecture will be given by Prof. Dr. I. Howard and the 2008 Rank Lecture will be given by Prof. Dr. J. Koenderink.

The annual OHBM meeting is being held in Melbourne, Australia. It will be the very first time the meeting will held in Australia and a exciting opportunity for both the region and the meeting.
CRS can't wait to head down under for OHBM this year, visit us at booth number 36 to find out the latest information about MRI-Live! - our unique tool for human brain mapping and our range of other tools for Functional Imaging.
The OHBM meeting aims to gather together scientists using modern, functional brain mapping techniques such as PET, SPECT, fMRI, EEG, MEG, optical imaging and neuroanatomical tools for assessing the functional organization of the human brain. The meetings focus on neuroscience and applications of these techniques to study sensory and motor systems, vision, attention, memory and language in normal and pathological states. Theoretical and methodological issues are a central component as they enable and inform these neuroscience endeavours.
