On Wednesday
21st June, Sophie
M Wuerger presented a talk,Colour Appearance & Cone Signals, at IS&T's
Third European Conference on Colour in Graphics, Imaging, and Vision
(CGIV) at the University of Leeds.
The talk was sponsored by Cambridge Research Systems as part of our
on-going support of the Vision Science community.
The results add further weight to the idea that the colour vision system
in adult humans is able to recalibrate itself based on prior visual experience
and that our colour appearance mechanisms may be a consequence of environmental
constraints.

"I'm in Sarasota for
the Vision Science Society Meeting. One of the highlights of the meeting
for me is always the Demo Night, where VSS participants present demonstrations
of visual phenomena. Some are astounding, some mystifying and all are
invariably fascinating ..." |

An exciting
collaboration between Cambridge Research Systems and Imagine
Eyes will bring the advantages of adaptive optics into your laboratory,
using simple tools to create highly controllable, diffraction limited
images on the retina.
The system combines the ViSaGe Visual Stimulus Generator with the award
winning crx1, using an advanced Wavefront Aberrometer and a unique Deformable
Membrane Mirror which is capable of completely compensating for aberrations
in 99% of eyes, without the use of accessory optics.
Don't miss our demonstration on Cambridge Research Systems' stands at ARVO and
VSS or contact us for details. |
